What We Do

RVAH2O is driven by the belief that everyone can make a difference and help us achieve the goal of cleaner water faster for all of Richmond. We’ve developed an innovative partnership between City government, water quality organizations, passionate citizens, and river users, and we’re making progress every day to:

     •  Reduce pollution

     •  Decrease flooding

     •  Keep our waters fishable and swimmable

We’re not alone in this effort. Citizens and organizations all around RVA are already doing their part to improve water quality, from engaging in community cleanups and building rain gardens and other innovative green infrastructure projects, to cleaning storm drain inlets and working to control flooding. There’s great progress happening all around town. The success of RVAH2O is fueled by all of us working together.
